Project Description: DHL Global is a two story tilt wall facility housing a 60,000 SF of corporate office space and 124,000 SF of warehouse high pile storage space. The office building is comprised of three distinct forms, each with a distinct function. The taller, grid “Box” form, with large windows reflects the higher ceilings of the executive offices, large conference room and a workout room. The longer horizontal expanse of tilt wall panels, reveals, and windows define the various departments with minimal enclosed offices and large expanses of open plan modular furniture. These two building forms are separated by an inviting main entrance, enhanced with aluminum columns, canopy and dark glass with horizontal mullions. The entry leads to the reception area and a grand stairwell open to the octagonal skylight above. Project highlights include a fast track schedule, with separate permits for foundation, shell and interior build-out. DHL is the global leader in air freight, carrying 12% of the total worldwide market, more than twice as much as the second biggest organization. Their operations are managed from over 150 countries, providing a personalized service to and from all key markets. |
