Project Description:

 Based on the successful completion of Christus St. Catherine Medical Plaza II, The Graham Group selected Seeberger Architecture to design and handle the administration and construction phases for a new 3 story Medical Professional Building.

The building's design features took into consideration, the Hospitals’ major renovation and façade update, as well as the two existing medical buildings located in the Christus St. Catherine Medical Complex. Through the selection of building materials, details and proportions the new Christus St. Catherine’s Medical Specialty Pavilion complements the two pre-existing buildings and yet retains a strong identity of its own.

Through extensive use of glass and light each lobby area, the two unique stair towers and entrances orientate each visitor to the Medical Complex, by allowing the complex and the surrounding landscape to be viewable from all levels. Although the view adds a scenic element to the building, the design was developed to link the visitor with the medical complex layout; from the main elevator lobbies each visitor has a view of the existing two medical buildings, the hospital and the parking facilities.

The building has attracted many different medical specialists including MD Anderson, which has established a cancer center on the first floor. Seeberger Architecture worked closely with MD Anderson’s m Architects, to insure all design elements coincided.

In 2008, Christus St. Catherine Medical Plaza III was awarded the ICE Award for Excellence in Construction, Healthcare Division by Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc.
